Got our apartments today and did a walking tour. Was shocked at the detail on the Santa Crotce cathedral. Pictures don’t do it justice. My jaw was on the floor when I saw the Duomo. It is breath taking. The detail is amazing. Italy you are perfect. Crossed the Ponte Vecchio and stopped for a pic. Went for a hike and caught this amazing view of FirenzeSoccer game today! Firenze v Atalanta Goliath! Pisa was amazing! Psa it really leans!! The Duoma Pisa! The view from the top of the Lucca tower was godly. 16 flights up! Top of the Lucca tower!Needed a taste of home and found a delicious American style restaurant, La Vespa! Got a waffle stack with bananas and toasted walnuts. Better than an actual American breakfast. My roommates and I! There is literally a whole chocolate fair right outside of my house and I don’t know how to act. Went to the Uffizi today! Saw so many amazing paintings and sculptures but one of my favorites was Botticelli’s La Primavera! Another Botticelli piece The Birth of Venus! He is my new favorite artist. This one is really interesting because it is unfinished! You can really see inside the mind of Leonardo Di Vinci and where he was considering going with this painting. He didn’t finish it because he got a better job offer! A beautiful sunset over the Ponte Vecchio to finish off the day 🙂
